ABOUT US

More than 800 million people around the world are hungry. The United Nations’s second Sustainable Development Goal, Zero Hunger, aims to end world hunger by 2030

We Are Fighting Against Hunger

To avoid this hunger, it is very important for us to have a food bank. If we do it by the Food Bank, no one will die of hunger in our country And this food bank can also create smart cities.A food bank is a non-profit, charitable organization that distributes food to those who have difficulty purchasing enough to avoid hunger. Food Banks provide an essential link between the food supply chain and the underprivileged .They encourage food businesses to commit to reducing food waste and also redirecting their surplus to feed those in need. The food banks acquire donated surplus food products including grains and packaged food as well as funds for sponsored mid-day meals or breakfasts and make them available to people who are hungry or lack nutritional food.

GIVE FOOD

Food donations are critical to the ongoing mission of collecting and redistributing millions of pounds of food to individuals and families in Southwest Texas who don’t know where their next meals are coming from. By donating today, you’ll be helping a network of 90,000 individuals we serve weekly.

Yemen’s food security crisis

A number of devastating shocks in 2020 and the beginning of 2021 have stressed the vulnerable Yemini population and pushed the country towards a potential famine. These shocks include a currency crisis, a decline in humanitarian assistance, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a series of natural disasters. Each event has worsened food security from an already low base.

Preparing for Holiday Baskets

If you’d like to help with a donation, you can drop it off at the Delaware County Food Bank in downtown Manchester – they’re open Mondays and Thursdays between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. Donations are welcome year-round. And a big thank you to all of our KMCH listeners, who helped us raise over $1,700 for the food pantry during our Food Bank Fundraiser at the Manchester Fareway last Friday!
